The facelifted Lexus ES for Japan is offered as the ES300h with a 2.5-litre petrol engine rated at 178 hp and a 120-hp electric motor; these are separate parts of the hybrid system and must not be added into one output. The ES300h grades are front-wheel drive with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (e-CVT). The range includes the base grade, F Sport and Version L, while Graceful Escort is based on Version L.
For August 2021 to June 2022 cars, ES300h has 17-inch wheels, F Sport has 19-inch wheels and Version L has 18-inch wheels. Graceful Escort from July 2022 also uses 18-inch wheels. These grades have a 2,870 mm wheelbase and 145 mm clearance. The Japanese August 2021 equipment specification lists a 12.3-inch touchscreen for all three main versions.
