Mazda3 BP hatchback: engines by year, manual gearbox and AWD

Japan’s five-door Mazda3 BP has a sloping roof and a narrow tailgate window. Early 2019–2020 trims include 1.5-litre Skyactiv-G petrol engines with 111 hp, 2.0-litre Skyactiv-G petrol engines with 156 hp, 1.8-litre Skyactiv-D diesels with 116 hp and 2.0-litre Skyactiv-X mild hybrids with 180 hp combustion engines. From January 2021, the trims also include a 130 hp diesel and Skyactiv-X with a 190 hp combustion engine. The range offers six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes, front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive; combinations depend on the engine and trim.

The hatchback has five seats, a 2,725 mm wheelbase and 140 mm of clearance. Check usable boot space on the selected car, including its equipment. The early X Burgundy Selection version has burgundy leather seat trim. An 8.8-inch display, head-up display and 18-inch wheels are described among available early equipment; these specifications cannot be applied to every car in the generation.
