The fourth-generation Mazda Roadster with a soft top reached Japan in May 2015. The early range used a 1.5-litre SKYACTIV-G with a six-speed manual or automatic: S was manual-only, S Special Package added a multimedia controller and climate control, and S Leather Package added leather seats.
The Roadster is a two-seat rear-wheel-drive car. The 1.5 S from December 2017 to May 2018 has a 131 PS engine, a 2,310 mm wheelbase, 140 mm clearance and 195/50R16 tyres. For January to April 2026 versions, the 2.0 Mazda Spirit Racing Roadster produces 184 PS and the Mazda Spirit Racing Roadster 12R produces 200 PS; both have 145 mm clearance and 205/45R17 tyres. Account for these differences when choosing a version and a wheel set.
