About this generation

Nissan Serena C27: e-POWER and Smart Simple Hybrid

The fifth-generation Nissan Serena C27 received its facelift in August 2019. The range separates e-POWER from the 2.0-litre Smart Simple Hybrid: e-POWER is a series-hybrid system with a reduction gear and an 84-hp petrol engine, while Smart Simple Hybrid is a mild-hybrid version with a 150-hp petrol engine and CVT. The word hybrid alone is therefore not enough to identify the vehicle.

The wheelbase is 2,860 mm; clearance is 140 mm for a front-drive e-POWER and 160 mm for a front-drive 2.0 Smart Simple Hybrid. The e-POWER and 2.0 X grades described here have seven and eight seats respectively, while drive layout and rear suspension depend on the grade.
