The Subaru Layback is a crossover version of the Levorg wagon, presented for Japan in autumn 2023. The 1.8-litre branch uses a horizontally opposed turbo engine rated at 177 hp, a Lineartronic CVT and all-wheel drive. Separate Premium S:HEV EX and Premium Black S:HEV EX grades use a 2.5-litre hybrid system with a 160-hp petrol engine; these figures must not be carried over to the 1.8-litre versions.
The 1.8 Limited EX and 1.8 Black Selection have 200 mm ground clearance and a 2,670 mm wheelbase. Premium S:HEV EX and Premium Black S:HEV EX from July 2026 have 180 mm clearance and a 2,675 mm wheelbase. All four grades have five seats and 225/55R18 tyres.
