Regular passenger versions of Japan’s second-generation Suzuki Spacia are four-seat kei cars with a 0.66-litre engine and a mild-hybrid system. The naturally aspirated combustion engine makes 52 hp and the turbo engine 64 hp. A CVT is used, while drive layout needs a separate check. The supporting electric motor assists the combustion engine, so the Hybrid label does not determine the drive layout.
Sliding doors, independent rear seats and long seat rails shape the cabin’s practical use. Hybrid X has powered sliding doors with a closing assist, but equipment still needs a trim check. Spacia Gear adds roof rails, water-repellent upholstery and a protected luggage area; the generation has a 2,460 mm wheelbase and 150 mm of clearance.
