Audi A4 40 TFSI from Korea: updated fifth generation with 2.0 liter engine

The 2023 Audi A4 belongs to the fifth generation, the B9: it appeared in 2015, and in May 2019 the car was updated. In 2024, Audi introduced the next generation under a different name – A5. The sedan from the Korean example is the 40 TFSI version with a 2.0-liter petrol turbo engine with 204 hp, a robotic transmission and front-wheel drive.

Index 40 does not yet mean quattro

Front-wheel drive in this version is a detail that is easy to miss. The A4 has quattro all-wheel drive, but in other versions: for example, the diesel station wagon 40 TDI quattro for the Japanese market. The same number 40 in the name does not indicate either the type of engine or drive, so when comparing the 40 TFSI sedan with other A4s, it is worth looking at the full name of the version, and not at one number.
