Hyundai Sonata DN8 from Korea: petrol, gas or hybrid

Hyundai Sonata

The Korean Hyundai Sonata DN8 has three two-liter versions in the Premium Plus trim level: petrol, gas and hybrid. The body and the name of the configuration are common, and the choice depends primarily on how and where the car will drive.

Petrol and gas

Petrol Sonata does without gas equipment and a hybrid part. Gas runs on liquefied petroleum gas LPG. Before buying it, it is worth checking where the suitable gas stations are located: if for the sake of each gas station you have to change the daily route, the convenience of such a choice decreases.

Both versions are front-wheel drive, with a six-speed automatic transmission and a 2.0-liter engine.

Hybrid Sonata

In a hybrid, an electric motor and a battery are added to the petrol engine. The electrical part takes on some of the work, but adds mass to the car. The transmission here is also a six-speed automatic, front-wheel drive.

The name Premium Plus itself does not define the power plant. When choosing a used Sonata, you need to clarify the type of fuel and the composition of the equipment of a particular car, and then compare the offers of the desired version.

DN8 versions are collected on the Hyundai Sonata page in the catalog. The order procedure is described on the page of cars from Korea.
