Kia Ray 2023: high body and sliding door with a length of 3.6 meters

The Kia Ray is a small car with unusual proportions: with a length of 3595 mm and a width of 1595 mm, its height is 1700 mm, so the Ray is taller the wider. The character of the car is set by a high narrow body and a sliding door, and the 2023 petrol version is emphatically simple.

What do high roofs and sliding doors give?

The high body makes it easier to land and leaves a margin over your head even with a modest length of the car. The sliding door of the Ray is on one side: on the left side, which is visible in the pictures of the car from the example, the rear door is ordinary, hinged. The open sliding door takes up less space on the side than the hinged one, which is convenient in tight parking, and the folding seats allow you to temporarily turn the cabin into a cargo compartment and transport long things. Petrol version of 2023

The 2023 Ray belongs to the second modernization of the first generation, which has been produced since September 2022. The petrol version has a naturally aspirated liter engine with a capacity of 76 hp, a four-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, and the Korean consumption for the 14-inch version is about 7.7 liters per 100 km. The car from the example is the 2023 Ray Prestige with a mileage of 11,000 km, petrol, left-hand drive and a digital dashboard.

Petrol Ray or electric

In the same modernization, the electric Ray is produced: instead of a liter motor and an automatic transmission, it has an electric motor and a gearbox. The choice between them is decided by the operating conditions: the electric version needs regular charging, and the petrol version does not depend on the charging infrastructure.
