Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Black Edition 2025 from Japan: which drive to choose

The Eclipse Cross is a compact Mitsubishi crossover with a sloping rear roof, which makes its silhouette resemble a coupe. The petrol version of the Japanese market has a 1.5-liter engine and a CVT after the 2020 update, and the drive can be front or all-wheel drive, and it is the choice of drive that is the main question here. The 2025 car in question is the Black Edition with all-wheel drive.
What makes the Black Edition different
The Black Edition stands out for its black finish: glossy black radiator grille, black mirror housings and black 18-inch wheels. The description of the car from the example also lists LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, surround view cameras and heated steering wheel, front and rear seats, but in the other Black Edition, the set of options is checked against the auction sheet of the selected lot: for cars of the same version of different years, it may differ. How to check the lot before bidding is described in a separate article.
Front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive
The engine, CVT, ground clearance and tyres size of the front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions are the same, and all-wheel drive is heavier by about 70 kg. All-wheel drive is useful on snow and unpaved entrances, but does not guarantee the passability of any road: the clearance of both versions is the same, and much is decided by tyres and conditions, so the choice of drive begins with where the car will drive.
Price benchmark
On September 11, 2026, for the 2025 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Black Edition with all-wheel drive, 5,000 km mileage and auction valuation 5, the total in Vladivostok was 2,980,000 rubles, and transportation to another city is counted separately – it is described in the delivery in Russia section. For another car, an up-to-date calculation is needed.
All-wheel drive cars from Japan within two million rubles are analyzed in the article on prices for all-wheel drive in September 2026. Generations and modifications of the model are collected in the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross catalog, and the order from the Japanese auction is described on the cars from Japan page.
