Preparation in Japan before shipment: four GTYRES orders

Work on the battery under the bonnet of a Toyota Probox from a GTYRES order

After buying a car at a Japanese auction, servicing and preparation can be arranged before shipment. The work list depends on inspection and the owner’s requests. Four GTYRES orders involved different tasks, from inspection and wheel selection to replacing a battery and a door handle.

Inspection after purchase and checks before bidding

The auction sheet and available photos help determine whether to bid. Once the car arrives at the facility, its condition can be documented in more detail and preparation discussed. These are separate stages: post-purchase photos do not replace the information needed for the bidding decision.

The Passat, Premio, NV200 and Probox cases retain inspection and preparation material. None sets a mandatory work list for every car of that model.

What to discuss before servicing

Before work starts, inspection findings, the owner’s requests and an agreed list are needed. Oil, filters, batteries and other parts depend on the specific car. A model name alone cannot identify all consumables or determine mandatory replacements.

When a fault is found, the cause and work scope are clarified first. We do not promise replacement of every fluid, repairs of any complexity or a fixed saving compared with Russia. Scope and price are agreed after assessment.

Wheels and minor defects before shipment

The Premio order included replacement of a worn door handle; the Probox received a new battery and two seasonal wheel sets. These are examples of tasks completed before shipment. For another car, part availability, compatibility, price and readiness for the selected sailing are checked separately.

Additional wheels need arrangements for placement and handover as well as purchase. Before shipment, confirm which set is fitted, what is packed separately and how this is recorded in the photo report and item list.

What to send to GTYRES

Send the model, year, selected vehicle details and your requests. Include complete auction-sheet remarks or specific condition questions where available. We will discuss available checks, required materials and the work outcome before shipment.
