Skoda Octavia Pro: the fourth-generation elongated Octavia for China

The Skoda Octavia Pro is a fourth-generation version of the Octavia, which Skoda prepared specifically for the Chinese market and introduced in March 2021. It differs from the European Octavia of the same generation primarily in size: the wheelbase has been increased by 44 mm, up to 2730 mm, and the body itself is 64 mm longer.

Long base and interior

The increase in wheelbase went to the interior: according to the manufacturer, the 44 mm aspect ratio is entirely given to the rear passengers, and the Pro has more space in the back seat than the European Octavia. Therefore, the Pro makes sense for those who often carry passengers in the back. The bumpers are designed in the style of the sports Octavia RS.

The body of the Octavia is liftback: the tailgate rises along with the rear window, which makes it easier to load bulky things. The Pro equipment also includes an electric tailgate.

Control and equipment

Inside, the Pro repeats the architecture of the fourth-generation European Octavia: a multi-level front panel and a free-standing central touchscreen. The digital instrument panel and head-up display were offered as options, and the heated and electrically adjustable front seats also received ventilation. The set of equipment depends on the version.

The Pro has a turbocharged 1.4 liter engine with 150 hp and 250 Nm, the transmission is a seven-speed DSG robot with electronic control. Instead of the usual gear lever, the gear is selected by a small key switch on the center console, and the command is transmitted to the box by an electrical signal.
