Voyah Free from China: electric car or hybrid with generator

Voyah Free

For the 2021 Voyah Free, it is important to distinguish between two all-wheel drive versions: all-electric and Extended Range with a petrol generator. Both belong to the large crossover of the Chinese market, but they replenish energy in different ways. When choosing, it is important to start with the method of charging and refueling, so as not to lose the difference between the cars behind one name.

How the version with a generator works

Electric Free with an 88 kWh battery is charged from the mains. In the Extended Range, the 1.5-liter petrol engine works as a generator, and the wheels are rotated by electric motors. This is a sequential rechargeable hybrid: it can be charged, and the presence of a fuel tank also allows you to refuel with petrol.

The all-electric version requires affordable charging. Extended Range is worth considering if you need the ability to replenish energy at the gas station. At the same time, the designation “all-wheel drive” itself does not distinguish one version from another; checking the configuration of a car from China helps to deal with a specific car.

Both versions are presented in the Voyah Free catalog, the terms of order are on the page of cars from China.
