The other day I renewed my Japanese driver's license - and it turned out that even its color means something here.
At first, the license is green, then it becomes blue, and if you drive for several years without violations, you can get gold.
I now have blue 📃
The extension itself also turned out to be quite Japanese: documents, eye exams, photos, fees, and then a two-hour lecture in Japanese.
As a result, the new license cost about 5300 yen 💴
And, by the way, I like the approach itself: you don't just change the card, but once again go through important changes in the rules and the consequences of violations🟥
