About this generation

Toyota Prius: fifth-generation HEV, kept separate from PHV

This Japanese fifth-generation Prius range compares conventional HEV hybrids: the 1.8-litre 2ZR-FXE and 2.0-litre M20A-FXS. E-Four versions use a separate motor at the rear axle. The plug-in Prius PHV is a separate range; check its battery and charging specifications separately.

During an inspection, check the seating position and your view of the high-mounted instrument display. Multimedia screen size and powered seat adjustment depend on the trim. The generation name does not establish equipment shown in a photograph of a higher-specification version.
