Geely Preface from China: sedan based on CMA architecture with a 2.0-liter engine

The Geely Preface entered the Chinese market in October 2020 and became the first Geely Auto sedan based on the CMA architecture. The two-liter version in question has a petrol engine with 190 hp and 300 Nm, a seven-speed robot and front-wheel drive. The wheelbase is 2800 mm, the trunk volume is 500 liters.

CMA Architecture and Remote Updates

One of the features of Preface is remote software updates, or FOTA. According to Geely’s description, they can change on-board programs, powerplant settings, and driver assistance functions.

When buying a used Preface, it makes sense to check the installed version of the software and the work of the necessary functions. The same year of manufacture does not mean the same software version, and the presence of a feature in the model description does not confirm its work on the selected car.
